Development[]

Check "Gallery" and "External Media" headings, for any links or images from the development stages of the cartoon.

17th November 2024:

  • Krinkels live streamed drawing process of a background for (at that time) unknown cartoon. Archive of the stream can be watched here.

22th November 2024:

  • Krinkels has made a post on Newgrounds, confirming that sequel to An Experiment is in production and that he has formed a team which will help him with animation process. The image attached to the post used background which he drew on an art stream from 17th November 2024.
    • The post also had a caption: "What do you think Engineers think about when they're stuck on guard duty? Thank you for attending the stream where I drew this awful room."
    • Krinkels also stated that he paused the production on Madness Combat 13 until an Experiment 2 is finished, he also stated that E2 could be released as early as summer, or as late as Madness Day, but according to him not later.

4th December 2024:

  • Krinkels has live streamed drawing another background for the episode. The background appeared to depict a ruined building in aftermath of Scrapeface's assault. Archive of the stream can be watched here.
  • On the same day. Krinkels has made a community post on his Youtube channel's community page where he shared background from the stream.
    • The post also came with a caption:
      • "While I am hiring on someone to help me by drawing backgrounds, I have elected to make this one myself...."

19th January 2025:

  • Krinkels has live-streamed the animation process itself for the first time. The stream featured snippets of various scenes as well as additional information regarding the cartoon. Interestingly. We are likely to see a new enemy type which closely resemble Cybercriminals from P.S.A. Piracy. Archive of the stream can be watched here.
    • What's really strange is that all of the files for the cartoon are located in a folder called "MC13" which for sure refers to Madness Combat 13. Meaning behind this is currently unknown.
    • The stream confirmed that action of the animation take place DIRECTLY after the events of previous part. The reason for this is the fact that 2 scenes which Krinkels has shown, depict Sanford and Deimos investigating the destroyed building and descending into the lower levels of it.

6th March 2025:

On March 6th 2025 Krinkels posted an update on Newgrounds, stating that Tarkade only has two backgrounds left to do, Shootdacheese has expanded his weaponry and character library considerably, and that he is feeling around for someone to do pickup animation.

15th April 2025:

On April 15th Krinkels posted another update on Newgrounds.
