Ballistic shields are protective devices deployed by police and military that are designed to protect the user from bullets and other projectiles.

Several ballistic shields appeared in Madness Combat 11: Expurgation, where they were used by some of Tricky's skeletons. Sanford managed to steal one from a skeleton and used it to deflect bullets and bludgeon a few of the skeletons. He lost the weapon after using it to defend himself after Hank was sent flying towards him by Tricky.

In Madness Combat 12: Contravention, a smaller ballistic shield appeared in the hands of an A.T.P. Soldat. He used it to successfully deflect several bullets from Sanford's AK-74U, but was ultimately killed by the aforementioned firearm when he lifted the shield up in an attempt to batter Sanford with it. Sanford picked up the shield, but it was taken by a Half Mag agent, who then threw it at an A.T.P. Engineer who inadvertently hit the Half Mag with his shotgun.
