The MERC Battle Rifle is mass-produced 7.62x51mm Battle Rifle based off the M1 Garand. It is much bulkier and longer than it's real world counterpart and functions like a Sniper Rifle in-game. It is an extremely rare weapon only appearing a select few times in Story Mode. When this weapon is reloaded, a loud ping can be heard.

In Arena Mode, the Battle Rifle is unlocked after the completion of The Goods and can be bought from the Quartermaster. It is also infrequently used by Grunts during The Murder Room. Most notably, however, it is the signature weapon of the Riflemen during The Heist.

Trivia

• Unlike the M1 Garand this is based off, this weapon is chambered for 7.62x51, unlike the .30-06 Springfield that the real one uses.
• The Rifleman's variant of the Battle Rifle cannot be picked as it disappears (similar to Gudgeons) when killed. This is most likely to save on performance due to the frequency that Riflemen spawn at.
