Melee weapons are non-ranged weapons used for hand-to-hand combat. However, these weapons can also be effectively thrown to wound enemies at a distance and can be used to deflect bullets as well. They are just as prevalent as firearms in Madness Combat.
There are primarily two types of melee weapons: blade weapons and blunt weapons. Blade weapons have sharp edges (such as knives) or have sharp points (such as spears). Blunt weapons like the baton lack blades and rely more on strength to injure foes. In the game Madness: Project Nexus (Classic), blade weapons on average are more powerful, but blunt weapons are more proficient at knocking away enemies.
Types of melee weapons

Knives can be used for many different purposes - including combat, food preparation, hunting, throwing, ceremony, and surgery. Knives are the most prevalent melee weapon in Madness Combat.
