Appearances[]
Madness Combat 7: Consternation[]
Several metal stakes were seen stabbed into agents on the walls and roof of the facilities. It is most likely that these agents were traitors and were killed by the Auditor. This was also Mag Agent: Torture's first appearance, who has two enlarged spikes pierced through his skull in an ‘x’-shaped pattern.
Madness Combat 9.5[]
Spikes known as "bindings" are the primary weapons of the Retainer. They emerge from the ground when the Retainer focuses on their target and can be launched telepathically with great force.
They first appear when the Retainer subdues and grabs hold of Hank at the end of 9.5 part 1. They appear more prominently in the second part of the episode. They are summoned when the Retainer arrives as Tricky challenges Hank and are used to pin Tricky's demon form. The Retainer then starts using them to slowly close in on Hank to pin him as well before Tricky interrupts.
The Spikes next appear as Hank is studying the “DO WHAT COMES NATURAL” sign. The Retainer throws them directly at Hank, catching him by surprise, and he is barely able to dodge them before they lodge into the wall behind him. Hank turns to the Retainer and his newly summoned posse. Using his ingenuity, Hank tears a thinner spike out of the wall, and uses it to gore an Engineer. He attempts to use it to attack a Soldat, before having it knocked out of his hands. As he fights with Hank, an increasingly annoyed Retainer summons spikes around him before lunging and being stopped by Tricky. He then shoots the spikes into Tricky, killing him. As Tricky returns with a new body, more spikes are defensively summoned by the Retainer, but they do nothing to stop Tricky's wrath.
Madness Combat 11: Expurgation[]
Spikes are a common motif throughout the episode; they are implied to be manifestations of the Auditor's powers. Waves of spikes chase Sanford and Hank if they dawdle too long in a room, and at one point the Auditor summons spikes to immobilize Hank long enough to demand a truce. Afterward Hank inadvertently manifests spikes out of a stone platform when he uses telekinesis on it.
Madness Combat 12: Contravention[]
Similar to the previous installment, several batches of spikes are summoned from the ground by the Auditor to threaten Sanford. One agent is killed by a pair of spikes piercing his head in a manner similar to those embedded in Mag Agent: Torture's skull.
Incident: 011A[]
Mag Agent: Torture is the main focus of this incident. The two enlarged spikes in his head are launched across the room when a grunt explodes his head with an M203.
Incident: 1000A[]
Mag Agent: Torture is briefly seen at the end of the incident, where he is promptly killed by Tricky.
