The street sign, also called the stop sign, is an iconic weapon in the Madness Combat series. It is a stop sign with an exclamation mark. Originally just an odd streetsign, it later becomes something of Tricky's signature weapon.

The stop sign made its first appearance in Madness Avenger on the twisted streets of Nevada after the Sheriff activated the Improbability Drive. Hank pulled it out of the ground and used it to beat to death a group of grunts and the Sun. Hank finally impaled Tricky through the chest with the sign. After his resurrection, Tricky later tried to attack Hank with the sign but failed to land a blow and was promptly killed.

The stop sign made its next appearance in Madness Depredation. While Hank and the 1337 crew were in a heated battle at the bottom of a canyon, the stop sign shot out of the ground, then raced off-screen, creating a large crack in the ground. From this crevice emerge a few 1337 agents and, ultimately, Tricky. Tricky used the stop sign to battle Hank, armed with a dragon sword. Tricky successfully managed to impale Hank with the sign before dropping it when part of his skull was hacked off.

The stop sign, covered in blood, was still being wielded by Tricky in Madness Antipathy, who was conducting a train. When Hank jumped from the front passenger car to the locomotive, he grabbed onto the sign. While Tricky was trying to shake Hank off, the locomotive was running off a cliff. After the train crash-landed on the other side of the gorge, Hank and Tricky dueled, with Tricky using the stop sign more offensively than before. He even managed to stab Hank through the neck with it, killing him instantly before resurrecting him again. The sign was last seen on the ground near the hot dog vendor's stand.

The stop sign made a very brief return in Madness Expurgation, where demon Tricky summons it to fight MAG Hank and Sanford, but unfortunately, Tricky is quickly thrown into a wall by Hank and retreats before he has any chance to use his signature weapon.

The stop sign then appears with a more major role in Madness 9.5 part 2, where it's first seen dashing through the ground and slamming onto a Retainer, Tricky then emerges from the cracks made by it and roars at the Retainer, shoving both of them into a wall. In the next room, the sign suddenly bursts out of the ground, with Tricky emerging from the hole made by it, after a shot in the head he attempts to use it to slam Hank into a wall as well, though Hank dodges it and destroys the rest of his body, Demon Tricky then catches him off guard by biting him and burying into the ground, to which a (good as new) Tricky then enters the room, retrieves his sign and follows them both, though the sign isn't used for the remainder of the animation.

The stop sign reappeared in Incident: 1000A, wielded by Tricky to distract Hank and bludgeon Sanford to death, and appeared again in Madness Combat 11: Expurgation, briefly used by Tricky against Hank.

The street sign makes a cameo in the Madness Interactive Story Mode next to The Bakery!. However, it cannot be picked up or used. It's also a usable weapon in the Arena Combat Mode of Madness: Project Nexus (Classic). It is the most powerful blunt weapon in the game and has the greatest range of all usable melee weapons.

The stop sign also makes an appearance in MADNESS: Project Nexus, being Tricky's main weapon of use in Story Mode. It is also usable in Arena Mode, being one of the weapons that Dr. Crackpot sells in the fence, costing 2 Boons Tokens.
