The Nowhere is a mysterious "place" mentioned by the Gambler and The Maker, where the Player needs to merge with it in order to save Nevada from the MADNESS to after by enmeshmed by Doc. It appears that the Nowhere is some sort of "blank slate" for Nevada, as it's implied that Marsh-Mellow-Madness or even the original Madness Combat animation took place there. The Nowhere also has a strong connection to The Machine, and that it seems to be where everything began. It's also been mentioned that some Generation 01s have been lost to the Nowhere, with only the Grunt in the The Artifact and the Player being able to be retrieved.

MADNESS: Project Nexus[]

If after beating the Grand Steward, the player refuses from merge with the Nowhere, it would come back to the headquarters, and a special contract will be available in the arena stage selection, called simply as "The Nowhere", where the unique objective is "Merge with the Nowhere", and the briefing says:

"Surrender yourself to the Nowhere, and save Nevada.

Sounds easy enough..."

There is not an XP or cash reward.

Trivia[]

  • Although the Nowhere seems to be located in the north of Nevada, in the no flying zone, by the map of the stage selection; as stated by the Gambler, the Nowhere is in no where.
  • The Nowhere appears to be related to the Other Place, though by how much is unknown.
